These Stainless Steel 316L Plates also offer higher creep, stress-rupture and tensile strength at elevated temperature. The nitrogen in this alloy adds additional resistance to sensitization in some circumstances. The nitrogen content of these SS 316L Sheets also provides some solid solution hardening, and raising its minimum specified yield strength compared to SS 316L. Like Types 316 and 316L, this alloy also offers good resistance to general corrosion and pitting / crevice.

The fatigue strength or endurance limit is the maximum stress below which a material is unlikely to fail in 10 million cycles in an air environment.
