Thus Stainless Steel 310H Pipes is extensively used in heavy gauge welded components.

Stainless Steel 310H Tubes are usually regarded as the standard “marine grade stainless steel”, but is not resistant to warm sea water. SS 310H Pipes has good oxidation resistance in intermittent service to 870 Degree C and in continuous service to 925 Degree C. Continuous use of SS 310H Tubes in the 425 Degree C – 860 Degree C range is not recommended if subsequent aqueous corrosion resistance is important. In many marine environments Alloy 310H Pipes does exhibit surface corrosion, where it is usually visible as brown staining.

Alloy 310H Tubes, with its higher carbon content has application at elevated temperatures, as does stabilised Alloy 316Ti Tubes. The molybdenum gives Grade 310H Pipes better overall corrosion resistant properties than Grade 304 Pipes, particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. Grade 310H Tubes has excellent forming and welding characteristics. The austenitic structure of AISI 310H Pipes also gives excellent toughness, even down to cryogenic temperatures. AISI 310H Tubes is readily braked or roll formed into a variety of parts for applications in the architectural, transportation and industrial fields.
